Ever dreamt of cycling through the Tuscan countryside or the Loire Valley? So have we. And while these should be on every traveller’s bucket list, there’s still plenty of two-wheeled fun to be had closer to home.

If you’re visiting Victoria over the Labour Day long weekend, Tour de Vines have arranged a relaxed, fully guided cycling tour from the historic town of Beechworth to Bright, replete with a bounty of gourmet food and fine wine.

Over the course of three days, revellers will follow the scenic Murray to Mountains Rail Trail – through farmland and alpine valleys – cycling a total distance of 72 kilometres. But don’t panic, it’s mostly downhill.

There are numerous stops along the way, including Gapsted Wines, Pennyweight Winery and Bright Berry Farms.

Evenings will be spent in Beechworth and Myrtleford, with breakfast and accommodation included.

March 11 – 13. Prices from $409 per person, twin share. Bookings here
