Qantas today launched a new style of cuisine and inflight service for International First and Business Class, introducing a range of flexible dining options.

Qantas Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing, John Borghetti, said First and Business Class passengers were now being offered a variety of healthy eating options and refreshments on demand, as well as a room service style of breakfast.

"Meals and refreshments will be served by specially recruited cabin crew dedicated to the First and Business Class cabins to ensure attentive and professional service for our premium customers.

"Business Class customers are also able to take advantage of a new, self-service bar offering a range of gourmet snacks and beverages throughout the flight," Mr Borghetti said.

Qantas International First and Business Class cuisine is designed by award winning Australian chef and restaurateur Neil Perry, and features modern Australian food with regional influences.

Passengers in both cabins are now offered:* more flexible late night services, with a substantial range of meals and snacks available at any time during the flight and prepared to order;* the option of giving their breakfast orders prior to bedding down;* more frequent menu changes; and * upgraded inflight crockery, glassware and serving equipment.

First Class passengers already have access to:* a choice of welcome snacks - smoked almonds or olives;* a choice of pre-meal canapes; * in-flight preparation of canapes, entrees and desserts;* a wide array of prestigious wines including Cullens Cabernet Merlot, Penfolds 707, Jim Barry Armagh, Mount Mary Triolet, Pierro Chardonnay, Penfolds Grange and Henschke Hill of Grace.
