Qantas to Increase Adelaide Cityflyer Services

Adelaide, 13 March 2008

Qantas said today that it would increase its Adelaide Cityflyer services from April 2008. Twelve new services will be added, taking the airlines total weekly Adelaide Cityflyer services to 229.

Qantas Regional General Manager South Australia, Terry Simpson, said the airline would add five extra services per week from Sydney to Adelaide and seven extra services per week from Adelaide to Melbourne.

"Qantas is expanding its capacity on these routes in response to strong business growth in South Australia, " Mr Simpson said. "We are focused on offering South Australian customers exceptional choice and flexibility on key routes."

Mr Simpson said that with the new services, Qantas would offer:
* a total of 74 Sydney-Adelaide services; and
* a total of 90 services on the Adelaide-Melbourne route.

"Qantas Cityflyer is the most convenient way for business travellers to fly between Australian capital cities on weekdays. Cityflyer offers more flights more often as well as the convenience of online check-in and QuickCheck," Mr Simpson said.
