Qantas and Jet Airways Expand Codeshare
Sydney, 25 June 2007
Qantas Airways and Jet Airways today announced the expansion of their successful codeshare.
Qantas Group General Manager Sales and Distribution Rob Gurney said, "The expansion of the codeshare will enable Jet Airways' customers to travel on Qantas flights between Australia and Singapore, connecting to Jet Airways services between Singapore and India from 25 June 2007.
"This new agreement complements Qantas' existing A330-300 services which operate three times weekly between Sydney and Mumbai.
"The Australia-India route - a key market for Qantas - continues to grow, reflecting strengthening trade links and increasing numbers of tourists and business people travelling between the two countries.
"Qantas is pleased to partner with India's leading carrier, Jet Airways, to further grow this important market," Mr Gurney said.
Members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program and Jet Privilege Program can earn and redeem points on eligible Qantas and Jet Airways flights between Australia and India.
