Qantas Extends Special Fares for Disrupted Tiger Passengers

Qantas will extend its special fare offer to passengers affected by the suspension of Tiger Airways domestic Australian services.

Qantas has adjusted the special fare offer to align with the new Qantas domestic fare structure launched yesterday.

The following fares will apply for Tiger passengers booked to travel until 31 July 2011. These fares are subject to availability:

Melbourne Adelaide $109
Melbourne Hobart $109
Melbourne Sydney $112
Melbourne Canberra $120
Melbourne Brisbane $155
Melbourne Perth $219
Melbourne Cairns $235
Melbourne Mackay (via Brisbane) $209
Melbourne Rockhampton (via Brisbane) $199
Melbourne Alice Springs $219
Sydney Brisbane $112
Sydney Adelaide $139

Above fares include a meal or refreshment, inflight entertainment and a checked baggage allowance of one piece of luggage up to 23 kilograms.

This offer may be amended or withdrawn subject to further communications from the Civil Aviation Authority regarding the suspension Tiger Airways.

Fares will be available to be booked via Qantas Contact Centres, Retail Offices and Qantas Service Desks at Airports.

Passengers are required to show their Tiger itinerary for travel at a Qantas Service Desk or Retail Office. When booking via Qantas Contact Centres, Tiger customers will be required to quote their booking reference/confirmation number in order to access the fare.

Where possible, Qantas will seek to accommodate affected passengers on the next available direct flight to their destination.

Qantas will continue to monitor the need to schedule additional services.
