Six thrills in seven days
Our action-packed week begins in Budderoo National Park, half an hour's drive from Wollongong, New South Wales. Put on your comfiest walking shoes and embark on the hour-long Falls Walk for spectacular views of the Minnamurra Rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled to catch a glimpse of the endangered Eastern Bristlebird, as well as butterflies and other creatures that roam the rainforest.
After a relaxing morning wander, it's time to dive straight in to an exhilarating afternoon at Jamberoo Action Park. Home to the Funnel Web, one of the longest and biggest water rides in the world, and Outback Bay, the biggest wave pool in New South Wales.
A great way to experience the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains is to visit Katoomba. The more adventurous can take to the skies on the Scenic Skyway and experience breath-taking views of Jamison Valley through the electro-glass floor; at 270 metres, this is not for the faint hearted. For a more relaxing, but no less spectacular experience, stroll along the one and a half mile Scenic Walkway and immerse yourself in the peaceful rainforest.
Replenish your adrenaline with a horse ride through the wilderness at Watagan State Forest. For an even more extraordinary experience, book a twilight or early morning ride.
Fancy a bit of sandboarding? A 4WD tour in Anna Bay offers unorthodox boarding experiences that will see you tackle 50 metre sand dunes.
After spending a day surrounded by sand, you may be thirsty for more water based fun. You're in luck as there are a range of thrilling activities at Lake Burrendong, from water-skiing to tube rides.
