The new next generation Boeing 737-800 fleet is operating on flights between Auckland and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Wellington and Sydney and Melbourne, Christchurch and Sydney, as well as Queenstown and Sydney. This fleet is named in honour of iconic New Zealanders, Jean Batten, Sir William Hudson, Katherine Mansfield, William Pickering, Abel Tasman, Sir Edmund Hillary, Ernest Rutherford and Charles Upham.
