Qantas Flights

Qantas operates from 2 terminals in Melbourne

  • T1 - Qantas Domestic Terminal - Qantas flights QF400 and above and QantasLink operate from this terminal.
  • T2 - Melbourne International Terminal - Qantas International flights QF1 - QF399 and oneworld flights operate from this terminal.

Jetstar Flights

Jetstar domestic flights* into and out of Melbourne Tullamarine Airport now arrive and depart from Terminal 4.

Departure Information

Ticket Counter

Located in the Departures area (Level 1). Open from 5am to 1am.

Domestic and international ticketing facilities are available.


Faster, Smarter Check-in is now available in Melbourne T1 on the departures level. Q Card Reader check-in is available for eligible Qantas Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club members, and, new Kiosks and Bag Drop for all passengers. Customer Service agents will be on hand to offer assistance if needed.Check-in is located in the Departures area (Level 1). Open from 5am to 9pm.

Economy check-in for Qantas flights is available from any of the Check-in Kiosks. Passengers with baggage are then required to proceed to the bag drop counter.

Check-in for economy passengers with International connections is available from counters 37 and 38.

Business class check-in is also available via the Check-in Kiosks and from counters 33 and 34.

Qantas Club and oneworld Emerald passengers check-in is available from the Check-in Kiosks and from counters 35 to 36.

Group check-in is located at counters 41 and 42.

Check-in for Jetstar flights is available at counters 43 to 53 and operates from 4am to 9pm.

Passengers travelling with carry on baggage only, may proceed through security and check-in at the Service desks located near Gates 1 and 21.

Note: For Qantas codeshare flights, customers may need to check in with the operating carrier rather than with Qantas. Ask airport staff for more detail.

Online Check-in is available for Qantas and QantasLink Australian domestic bookings between 24 hours and 30 minutes before your flight departure.
