Hong Kong International airport (HKG) is the main airport in Hong Kong. It is located on the island of Chek Lap Kok which is 34km (21 miles) from the city.

Ticketing
Limited international ticketing facilities are provided by SAT HK Ltd. The counter is open at check-in aisle D from 3pm to midnight.

Check-in
Check-in is located on level 7, Departure Zone 4, Area J and opens 3 hours before departure.
Early check-in is available with the Qantas In-Town Check-in service at Hong Kong and Kowloon Airport Express Line Stations, between 90 minutes and one full day ahead of your scheduled flight departure time.
Qantas In-Town Check-in service opens at 07:30 daily till 90 minutes prior the last scheduled flight departure time that day.
Online check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online check-in is open from 24 hours to two hours before departure for international flights.
For Qantas codeshare flights, customers may need to check in with the operating carrier rather than with Qantas. Ask airport staff for more detail.

Ferry transfer | Ferry SkyPier Transfer at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) provides speedy ferry service for transfer from the Pearl River Delta and Macao. Passengers must arrive at SkyPier for check-in 110 minutes before flight departure. Qantas provides baggage tag through service from the following nine ports in the Pearl River Delta and Macao: Dongguan Humen, Guangzhou Lianhuashan, Guangzhou Nansha, Macao (Maritime Ferry Terminal), Macao (Taipa), Shenzhen Fuyong, Shenzhen Shekou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai Jiuzhou. |
Car | The airport is approximately a 45 minute drive from the city. Visit Hong Kong airport for current car parking rates. |
Taxis | Approximately HK$335 one way to Central or Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island. Alternatively HK$270 to Tsim Sha Tsui on Kowloon. |
Train | Airport Express Line trains depart regularly to Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Fares start from HK$100 per adult for 'same day' return trip tickets, or HK$185 per adult for roundtrip tickets, valid for one month. Child fares are also available. |
