When to visit
Zurich has a temperate climate zone and has four distinct seasons. In winter, temperatures occasionally drop below zero, while hot summer days can record temperatures of over 30°C. The best time to visit Zurich is in summer, from June to August to enjoy sunny days and swim in the outdoors pools in the river or lake. Temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C. Spring is a popular time to visit as the street blooms with magnificent flowers. Temperatures range from 10°C to 15°C. If you are keen to visit the Swiss Alps and the popular Christmas markets, visit in winter though be sure to pack a warm jacket, as the weather is cold.

Getting into Zurich from Zurich Airport
With a range of transport options available at Zurich Airport, travelling into the city centre is easy. Choose from train, bus, tram, taxi, limousine, hotel shuttle, car hire or uber. By train, from Zurich Airport Railway Station, located near check-in 3, you can get to the main station in the city in about 10-15 minutes or onto other destinations. In front of the Airport Centre is the airport stop of the Stadtbahn Glattal, a light rail tram system and buses run connecting the airport to the city. A convenient way to travel is to take a taxi which operate from ranks in front of the arrivals area. Alternatively, you may wish to organise a chauffeur driven airport limousine, hotel shuttle or book an Uber.
Getting around Zurich
Getting around Zurich is simple, with an efficient range transport options to suit your needs. The city is compact, so often the fastest way to reach your destination is on foot or hiring a bicycle. By walking, you can discover places and enjoy being outside at the same time. Cycling is a popular way to explore the neighbourhoods, with bike hire stations located throughout the city. Zurich has a well-developed public transport network with trams, buses, trains and cruise boats to take you throughout the city and surrounding regions. It's best to get a Zurich card to travel on all public transport. It's possible to rent a car with parking stations in the city, alternatively you may wish to book an Uber to reach your destination quickly.
