Coronavirus information

We're continuing to monitor the situation closely and review our flights based on the advice of the World Health Organisation, Centre for Disease Control and Australia’s Chief Medical Officer.

Travelling within Australia

Some Australian states and territories have introduced new measures, including additional health and safety protocols, in response to Coronavirus that may impact interstate travel.

Before travel, ensure you check the latest government travel requirements, which may include mandatory health declarations, use of face masks, entry permits, pre-approval and quarantine (possibly at your own expense), or you could be denied entry.

Travelling to Australia from overseas

The Australian Government has implemented immigration measures which allow only Australian citizens, residents and immediate family members to travel to Australia. The government has also advised that all new arrivals are required to self-isolate for 14 days.

If you’re travelling to Australia, check your own government's travel advice for the latest information on all of your planned destinations and transit ports, as they are constantly being reviewed.

Travelling from Australia

Ensure you check current Australian travel alerts for the latest information when you’re leaving Australia.

Travel to the UK

The UK Government has introduced a series of measures to control the transmission of COVID-19 for passengers travelling to the UK.

Travel to New Zealand

The New Zealand government has announced restrictions due to Coronavrius. Refer to the New Zealand Unite against COVID-19 website for more information.

Visa requirements

The New Zealand government requires some visitors and transit passengers to have a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA).

  • Apply for your NZeTA at least 72 hours before departure through the official mobile app or website.
  • Visit Immigration New Zealand to find out if you require a visa for your travel.

Solomon Islands measles vaccination travel advisory

Following outbreaks of measles in the region, the Solomon Islands Government has issued a Travel Advisory, requiring visitors from countries including Australia, and Solomon Islands residents travelling to Australia and other destinations, to show proof of vaccination.

From 28 December 2019, to enter the Solomon Islands you'll need to show proof you have been vaccinated against measles at least 15 days before your arrival. Bring your official vaccination record with you in your carry-on bag. Travellers without evidence of vaccination may need to undergo a medical examination.

New Bali electronic customs declaration form

Passengers flying to Bali are required to complete an Electronic Customs Declaration (ECD) form online. The form can be completed as early as two days before arrival.

Customs cards will no longer be handed out on flights to Bali.
