About the Qantas Group

Qantas pilot and crew walking on tarmac

Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas has grown to be Australia’s largest domestic and international airline.

The Qantas Group's main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands — Qantas and Jetstar — operating regional, domestic and international services.

Central to our success is maintaining high operational standards, acting responsibly and being transparent.

We hold ourselves to high standards in everything we do and give others the information to evaluate our performance. The three principles that guide us are:

  • operating with integrity (through our safety, people, community and environment strategies),
  • strong corporate governance, and
  • transparency in reporting.
