Menorca travel information

Menorca beach and cliff

Menorca is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea close to the coast of Spain. Menorca is known for its collection of megalithic stone monuments, incredible beaches, and the beautiful sea of Menorca offers a wide range of blue and green colours. The island stands out due to the historic centres of Maó, which is the capital of the island, and Ciutadella at the far west of the island. Ciutadella's centre is very "elegant 16th century Spain" with its narrow streets, boutiques and tapas bars. Relax and unwind in the unique beach paradise, take in the natural beauty of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and enjoy the authentic Menorcan dishes of fish, pastries for breakfast and many tapas bars. It’s an idyllic island, and one to add to your travel list.

When to visit

The summer (June to September) is the best time to go to Menorca because the weather is very warm and dry with an average temperature of 25°C and highs of 29°C in August. Late spring is also a lovely time to visit, with dry, sunny days and temperatures in May average around 20°C.
