Ibiza is the largest of the Balearic Islands in Spain in the Mediterranean Sea, and well known for its lively nightlife in Ibiza Town and San Antonio, wonderful beaches and luxury beach clubs. Combined with a heavenly destination to relax at a spa, visit the street markets and chill out in a yoga class. The island is surrounded by beautiful scenery, magical sunsets and plenty of delicious seafood and beach restaurants to enjoy. From water sports, boats trips, hiking soft sandy beaches, food tours and nightclubs - there is plenty for everyone to enjoy in Ibiza.

When to visit

Ibiza is known for its exciting nightlife and excellent weather conditions that bring sunny weather and high temperatures to the island year-round. The Mediterranean climate is particularly lovely in the summer, with hot and dry weather from June to September. The average temperature is around 29°C in July and August. Spring (April to May) and autumn (October) are also popular times to visit with less crowds and lovely warm days, around 20°C.

When your flight arrives in Ibiza, you’ll be welcomed by the staff the airport to get your visit off to the right start. 

Getting into Ibiza from Ibiza Airport    

Getting into Ibiza is easy, with a range of transport options to suit your needs. Choose from bus, taxi, hotel shuttle, private transfer or car rental. Taxi is a convenient way to get to your destination, taking just 25 minutes to get to the city centre. Taxis are located at the designated taxi ranks outside the arrivals area. By bus, take route 10 that runs between the airport and Ibiza bus station, with frequent services. It's possible to organise a private transfer for door to door service, or check with your hotel to organise a shuttle. If you wish to rent a car, car rental companies are available at the airport and you can choose one that suits your needs to explore the island.

Getting around Ibiza

There are plenty of transport options available in Ibiza and some of the best ways to see the island is taxi, water taxi, car rental, scooter, bus or private transfer. Taxis are easy to find from a taxi rank, ask your hotel to call one or download the TaxiClick app to request one. Another popular way to discover other parts of the island is by water taxi. San Antonio harbour is full of small boats that can transport you to all the beautiful beaches around the bay. One of the best ways to enjoy the island is to rent a car and explore at your own pace. It’s best to pre-book a car and check with your hotel if there is parking. Scooters are a fun and cheap way to get around with scooter hire places available all over the island or you may like to rent a bike. Buses are available and a cheap way to travel around Ibiza Town and San Antonio. If you're travelling in a group or planning a long lazy lunch at a beach restaurant, you may like to travel in style and book a private transfer.
