Norway, Oslo, Lion statue in street by parliament buildings

Oslo, Norway’s capital, surrounded by mountains and sea, is a compact, cultured and fun city to explore. It’s a hidden gem and be sure to visit its many museums, stroll through the neighbourhoods and sample Oslo’s culinary scene. From hotdogs, shrimp to Nordic food, it’s a food destination in its own right. Experience the cool Scandinavian city firsthand with its fine dining, awe-inspiring architecture and lively nightlife.

When to visit

There are two seasons that could claim to be the best time to visit Oslo, summer with its warm and long days and winter full of Christmas mood and sports. June to July are perfect months to explore the city, chill on rooftop bars and hunt for wild berries. Temperatures range around 21°C. Winter brings Christmas foods, winter sports like skiing and ice skating with temperatures dropping to freezing. Spring is also a popular time to visit, late April to May and you can catch Norway's National Day.
