Visiting from Singapore to Billund

Billund, is a unique city most famously known as home of Lego and the wondrous Legoland and Lego House, offers one of the world's best family holidays. A trip to Billund is like a journey into the legends and traditions of creative toys. The Danish city is a place of fun and adventure with the Zoo, Vandel Museum, the Children's Library and plenty of parks to explore. Be sure to visit the most famous building in town, the Lion House, Sculpture Park, enjoy the eateries and stroll along the river to admire the spectacular coloured houses. It's a fun Danish city to experience it’s easy to see why Denmark is ranked one of the top three world's most happiest nations.

When to visit

Denmark has four distinct seasons. The spring months, April to May, are the mildest and driest while the summer months of June, July and August are the hottest. Summer (June to August) is the best time to visit with warmer days, around 16˚C and plenty of hours of daylight, about 17 hours. Autumn (September to November) is often windy and rainy, while winters the days are short and cold.

Billund Airport (BLL). It is an airport in Denmark, located 1.9 km northeast of Billund.

When your flight arrives on Billund, you’ll be welcomed by the staff the airport to get your visit off to the right start. 

Getting into Billund from Billund Airport   

There are plenty of options for transportation from Billund Airport to the city centre. Choose from buses, taxi, limo and car share. Billund Airport is served by a large number of public buses. Many of the buses connect the airport with train stations in Vejle, Give, Esbjerg, Skanderborg, and Aarhus. The bus stop is at the entrance of the terminal building. Taxis and limousines are available for the short trip to town with a journey time of 8 minutes. You may like to rent a car from one of the providers at the airport, as it only takes 9 minutes to drive to town.

Getting around Billund

Getting around Billund is easy with many connections to get you where you want to go. It's easy to rent a car with major car companies available in the area and plenty of parking. Taxis are available 24 hours a day with both English and German speaking drivers. Renting a bike is a fun way to get around, with plenty to look at along the way. During the high season, there is a free shuttle bus to explore the area and buses that have various routes throughout the town.

The airport is a major civilian airport that serves Singapore and one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia. The airport is located in Changi, at the eastern end of Singapore, approximately 20 km from Marina Bay, Singapore's Downtown centre.
