When to visit

The largest city in the Basque Country of Spain, Bilbao is a spectacular destination that experiences a slightly unique temperate oceanic climate as compared to the rest of Spain, owing to its hilly location. This means that weather in Bilbao tends to be on the cooler side, even during the summer. The summer season from June to mid-September is the best time to visit the city with warm weather averaging between 20 and 30°C. It’s a lovely time to enjoy the outdoors and dine alfresco.
