If you're travelling from New Zeland to Australia before 19 April 2021, you're required to present at check-in an Australian Travel DeclarationOpens external site confirming that you've been in New Zealand 14 days before your date of departure and haven't been in an area designated as a COVID-19 hotspot.
Plus, if you're arriving into Sydney from New Zealand, you'll also need to complete the New South Wales Government New Zealand arrival declaration formOpens external site in a new window within 24 hours of your arrival into Australia. You'll be required to show a copy of your confirmation email on arrival, and this can be either a paper copy, screenshot of the confirmation, or the email.

Starting 19 April 2021, we'll increase international services between Australia and New Zealand, following the announcement of a quarantine free two-way travel bubble between the two countries.

The Australian Government has tightened restrictions for travel to Papua New Guinea in response to the serious health risk to the Australian public as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak in Papua New Guinea.
Outbound travel exemptions for Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will only be approved by the ABF Commissioner in extremely limited circumstances, eg for critical workers providing assistance to Papua New Guinea's COVID-19 response and people undertaking critical safety roles.

National travel restrictions – you can only travel for essential reasons
While national restrictions are in place, you can only travel internationally from England for legally permitted reasonsOpens external site in a new window. This doesn't include holidays.
You must complete a travel declaration formOpens external site in a new window and carry it with you, along with any evidence supporting the reason for your trip. You may be required to show the form at the port of departure.
It's an offence to enter a port of departure or embarkation point without a properly completed form if you're travelling internationally. Some job related exemptions apply. You may be issued with a fixed penalty notice and directed to return home if you don't have a valid reason for travel.

All international arrival and transit passengers, regardless of nationality or visa status, will need to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR-test result issued within three business days before boarding their flight to Taiwan.

When international flights resume, governments and airlines may introduce requirements for passengers to have proof of a COVID vaccination. For more information, read the press releaseOpens external site in a new window.
Following outbreaks of measles in the region, the Solomon Islands Government has issued a Travel Advisory, requiring visitors from countries including Australia, and Solomon Islands residents travelling to Australia and other destinations, to show proof of vaccination.
To enter the Solomon Islands, you'll need to show proof you have been vaccinated against measles at least 15 days before your arrival. Bring your official vaccination record with you in your carry-on bag. Travellers without evidence of vaccination may need to undergo a medical examination.
