When to visit

The best time to visit Rome is September to November and April to May when there are fewer crowds, the days are sunny but not too hot. In April you can enjoy the Easter celebrations and with the warm weather makes it a good time to visit the Colosseum and sip coffee at an outdoor café. July and August is very hot and humid with most locals leaving the city, so it is little quieter, with the temperature around 40°C. Winter time ( December through to February) is a good time to take in the tourist attractions without the crowds, go shopping at the many boutiques and enjoy Italian cuisine. Temperatures range from 8 to 14°C, so be sure to take a coat.
