When to visit
The best times to visit Seoul are during the spring (March to May) or autumn (September and October). These months are generally considered the high season, where the cherry blossoms bloom and the city glows with red, orange and yellow trees. In April, you can catch Spring Flower Festival that takes place among the cherry trees. Spring temperatures range from 10°C to 21°C, while autumn sees temperatures around 9°C to 20°C. In Spetember, you can catch the Seoul International Film Festival.

Incheon International Airport (ICN).Opens external site in a new window Sometimes referred to as Seoul–Incheon International Airport is the largest airport in South Korea. It is the primary airport serving the Seoul Capital Area and one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. Incheon International Airport is located 48km west of Incheon's city centre.
Arriving in Seoul
The helpful staff at Seoul Airport will greet you when you land and assist with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.
Getting into Seoul from Seoul Airport
With a range of modes of transport available at Incheon Airport, travelling into the city centre is easy. Choose from taxis, car rental, airport transfer, bus, train or hotel shuttle. Normal taxis are available at both terminals, and they are coloured in orange, white or silver. Deluxe taxis are more expensive and are black and offer a comfortable way to travel, taking approximately one hour to the city centre. An airport call van can be booked if you are travelling in a group. A convenient way to get to downtown Seoul is to take the A'Rex Airport Train. Express trains can take you from Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station within 45 minutes. Airport limousine buses run from Incheon International Airport to most parts of Seoul. You can purchase bus tickets and get information at ticketing offices next to exits 4 and 9 in arrival hall floor 1. Make your trip even more convenient with a car rental service. Car hire is available at both terminals.
Getting around Seoul
Getting around Seoul is easy with many modes of transport available. Choose from public transport, taxi, bicycle and car hire. Seoul has an excellent user-friendly subway system which connects throughout central Seoul. It's best to buy a T-Money card for a discount on bus, subway and train fares. Seoul has a comprehensive and reasonably priced bus system, with most bus routes maps in English. Remember to swipe your T-Money card as you get on and off. The green buses link subways within a district, blue bus are all-stop buses going to outer suburbs and yellow buses are short-haul buses that circle small districts. It's possible to hire a car, though with a lot of traffic it's best to make use of the city's excellent public transport. You may wish to hire a bike through the bike share system, with docking stations at over 150 locations across the city. Taxis are an easy way to get around and all taxis are metered.
