In amongst the talented buskers and street performers you’ll find a myriad of fresh fruit and vegetables plus a host of food stalls covering a wide range of tastes made from delicious local produce. If high end is more your thing, head to the famous Hastings Street right in the heart of Noosa.

Winters are mild and daytime summer temperatures on the coastal region average around 28°C. During the winter months there are clear skies and daytime temperatures average 20°C. Winter brings cool nights and evening temperatures on the coast average 10°C. Light frosts may occasionally occur, especially in the hinterland.

Getting around

From the airport

With direct flights now operating, the Sunshine Coast is closer than ever for a perfect getaway. Sunshine Coast Airport is in the heart of the region so is an ideal entry and exit point for your holiday.

Getting to your Sunshine Coast destination from the airport can be a fast as 5 minutes to Marcoola, just 10 minutes to Coolum and Maroochydore, 15 minutes to Mooloolaba and around 30 minutes to Caloundra, Noosa, and Beerwah. For the hinterland areas, allow 35-40 minutes.
