When to visit
The best time to visit Fiji for sunny blue skies is from May through to September. The warm tropical climate makes for a perfect beach side holiday. October through to April make up the wet season which is also the time of year most at risk of a cyclone. Rain often pours during the late afternoon for a short time and can be quite humid. Temperatures are hot averaging between 26°C to 31°C year-round.

What is the main airport called?
Nadi International Airport (NAN).Opens in a new tab or window It is the main international airport of Fiji as well as an important regional hub for the South Pacific islands, located by the coast on the western side of the main island Viti Levu. The airport is located at Namaka 10 km from the city of Nadi. There is a domestic and international terminal.
Arriving in Nadi
The helpful and friendly Nadi Airport staff will greet you when you land, with a warm ‘Bula’ and from there, getting into Nadi and resorts is easy.
Getting into Nadi from Nadi Airport
There are a number of bus, shuttle and taxi services which can pick you up from the terminal. There is a public bus that can take you into Nadi town, the Bulla Bus is an easy way to get you your resort on Denarau island. Shuttle buses can be arranged to take you to your destination. It’s easy to hire a taxi, though be sure to ask for the meter to be turned on. It’s about 10 minutes to town by taxi. Alternatively, you may wish to hire a car to explore the scenic destinations surrounding the town.
Getting around Nadi
Getting around Nadi is easy and affordable, whether you’re using public transport, driving, catching taxis and transfers, joining a tour or even hiring a bike. Tours are a popular way to experience Nadi and the Fijian Islands. There are multiple cruises to see the crystal-clear waters of the islands. If you prefer to get out and about at your own pace, it's easy to rent a car. If you are staying at a resort on Denarau Island, the Bulla Bus can transfer you between the resorts and port. Another fun way to get around is to hire a bike or walk.
