Separated only by the Murray River, Albury Wodonga is considered the meeting place of two cities and two states. There’s always something happening in town, so be sure to plan your trip to Albury and experience one of the many events held throughout the year from live music, art exhibitions or outdoor activities for the kids.
There's a surprising number of festivals, museums and galleries in this region. Stroll the Yindyamarra Sculpture Walk - showcasing contemporary Aboriginal sculptures along the Wagirra Trail, or browse contemporary Indigenous art, resident displays and visit the exhibitions at The Murray Art Museum Albury, affectionately known as MAMA.
If nature's your thing, reel in a trout at Lake Hume, rent a kayak or cycle along the picturesque banks of the Murray River or meander through one of the many parks and gardens and be sure to keep an eye out for the spectacular bird life. During winter, bring your skis to enjoy some of Victoria’s best snowfields, with Falls Creek, Mount Buller and Mount Hotham only a couple of hours’ drive away.
