There are three terminals in Dubai:
Terminal 1
All international flights including oneworld airlines arrive and depart from this terminal.
Terminal 2
Flydubai, regional and other low-cost airlines.
Terminal 3
Emirates flights arrive and depart from Terminal 3.
Qantas codeshare flights operated by Emirates
Qantas code-share customers travelling on Emirates operated services need to check-in at the Emirates counters in either the Economy or Premium check-in zones in Terminal 3. First and Business customers, and Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers have access to the premium check-in zone.
Immigration
Immigration cards are not required to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Some nationalities do not require advance visas to enter the UAE, including those holding passports from Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. On arrival in Dubai, proceed to the immigration counters, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge.
Customers are advised to check visa requirements with the relevant government before arriving to the UAE.
If you're travelling in First or Business, or are a Platinum Frequent Flyer, you'll be given a Fast Track card on board, which allows you to clear immigration through a priority queue.
Once immigration has been cleared, all hand baggage is then screened prior to entering the baggage hall.
Baggage
If your journey ends in Dubai, your baggage can be collected in the arrivals hall at Terminal 3. If transferring to a Emirates flight, your baggage will have been checked and will be available for collection at your final destination. Check your baggage receipt to ensure it's been checked through to your final destination.
Baggage services is located in the arrivals area of Terminal 3 and can be used by both arriving and departing passengers.
Transfer between flights
If you're transferring onto an Emirates flight it could depart from and arrive into any of the three concourses (A, B or C) in Terminal 3.
To transfer, follow the 'Connections' signage located throughout the concourse. If holding a boarding pass for your onward flight, follow the 'Passengers with Boarding Pass' signs, and proceed through security and on to your departure gate. First customers and Platinum Frequent Flyers can proceed to the Emirates First Lounge, and Business customers, Gold Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club members can proceed to the Emirates Business Lounge.
If you're not holding a boarding pass for an onward flight, follow the 'Passengers without Boarding Pass' signs and proceed to the Connections Desk where your boarding pass will be issued. You may then proceed through security.
Transfer trains are available between Concourses A and B. Concourses B and C are connected by a pedestrian route. Details of your departure gate and boarding time will be available on flight information screens located throughout the airport. Ensure you leave sufficient time to get to your departure gate and note that Terminal 3 is a silent terminal.
Transfer between terminals
You can easily walk between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 when transferring between flights. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes, and there are travelators and escalators along the way.
Dubai International Airport offers a 24-hour inter-terminal shuttle bus service solely for passengers transferring airside between Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
