The number of points earned for eligible flights differs according to your Frequent Flyer status - the higher your membership tier, the more points you'll earn on eligible flights.

Which flights are eligible?

Eliglble flights for Status Bonus are:

  • Qantas:
    Flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on your ticket that are eligible to earn base Qantas Points. See the Qantas earn categories table for eligible booking classes.
  • Jetstar:
    Flights with a Jetstar (JQ, 3K or GK) flight number on your ticket that are eligible to earn base Qantas Points when purchasing an eligible fare bundle. See the Jetstar earn categories table for eligible booking classes and fare bundles.
  • American Airlines:
    Flights with an American Airlines (AA) flight number on your ticket that are eligible to earn base Qantas Points. See the American Airlines earn categories table for eligible booking classes.

How the Status Bonus is calculated

The Status Bonus is applied to the base Qantas Points earn rate when travelling in the Economy cabin. For travel in premium cabins, the Status Bonus is applied to the Flexible Economy earn rate.
