The name reflects one of our favourite inhabitants of the waterways and the eclectic town in Tasmania’s South named by Admiral D’entrecasteaux for the numerous swans there. This downstairs room is river facing with bay window alcove and like all rooms contains elegant period furnishings. Readily accessible from the front car park with King bed, Air Con, Smart TV and stylish bathroom.

Named after Hobart’s famous Salamanca square (which in turn is named after a famous British victory in the Napoleonic wars) It features a Moorish influence in both bedroom and bathroom (with bath) in keeping with its name. Readily accessible from the front carpark and convenient to the CASCADES Room it features King bed, Air Con and Smart TV.

This brilliant French naval officer and explorer met the First fleet at Botany Bay in 1788. He has Mt. La Perouse named after him in Tasmania and the expedition of D’Entrecasteaux which landed in Tasmania in 1792 was in part sent to try and discover La Perouse’s fate. An applicant for La Perouse’s mission who was not finally selected was a 16 year old Corsican – Napoleon Bonaparte. Of suite size with a private entrance through French doors opening onto the back carpark and garden. An indigenous word for part of the name of Bruny island and also the name of a village there. An upstairs room overlooking the garden and facing Mount Nelson , the source of the Lambert Rivulet. The room has a bay window table seating with King bed, Air Con and Smart TV. The spacious and luxurious bathroom features a claw footed bath with view.

The indigenous name for the Tasmanian tiger, or Thylacine and also the town on the edge of the fabulous Tarkine rain forest. The room features views of Mount Wellington , the garden and the playing fields next door. It has a King bed, Air Con and Smart TV as well as a walk-in robe and claw footed bath in a large and stylish bathroom.

Named after one of the most famous Tasmanians; Errol lived for a time in Sandy Bay. There is a memorial to him at Short beach, walking distance towards Battery Point from the Rivulet. The room features antique furnishings, King bed, Air Con, Smart TV and a spacious luxurious bathroom with claw footed bath.

The vessel is Australia’s oldest continuously licensed passenger vessel( built in 1912) and, among many ventures, operated as a ferry on the Derwent River. This upstairs room has a North facing bay window with views of the river and both the Derwent Sailing and Royal Hobart Yacht clubs. Like all our rooms it features antique furnishings, King bed, Air Con and Smart TV and stylish bathroom

Naturally in Hobart we had to name a room with a sailing connotation, particularly overlooking the Derwent River and two yacht clubs. It is our only suite and our premier offering. Incredibly sized bedroom, Sun room with dining, private balcony – all with views of the Derwent river, Yacht Clubs and playing fields. The bathroom is very large and luxurious with claw footed bath and views of playing fields and Kunanyi (Mount Wellington) beyond.

This spacious cottage situate in our Gardens was built 75 years ago and was rebuilt and refurbished in 2020 . It is fully self contained with outside courtyard . It features large bedroom with King Bed , separate dressing room / luggage storage , open plan living/dining , comfortable sofas , French oak dining table , campaign style desk and plantation shutters. As with all our rooms it contains new stand alone Air Conditioning and new Smart TV.

Newly built in 2020 this free standing ( and access compliant ) spacious room is entered under an antique awning and is situate in our Gardens . As with all our rooms it has King Size Bed with smart TV and new Air Con and , in this case , a marvellous 1780’s set of antique French drawers . The luxurious bathroom is complete with bath and magnificent Italian style marble walls and the Atelier looks out through Plantation shutters on the Rivulet Gardens and its patio.
