Change flights

Things happen, and when they do you may need to know how to change your travel plans.

We recommend you check the conditions applicable to your fare type for information about fees and surcharges before changing your booking. If you’re unsure of your fare type, visit Manage booking or call your local Qantas office. Service fees may also apply when changing your booking.

How can I change my booking?

Changing the date or time of your booking at is easy, if your fare rules permit the change. For most bookings, simply follow four easy steps:

  1. Retrieve your booking by entering your details below, or log in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account and go to ‘Your Bookings’ to select the booking to change.
  2. Select the red 'Change' button in the Flights panel.
  3. Make your changes and accept any change fees or fare differences, if applicable.
  4. Confirm your changes.

If the ‘Change’ button is greyed out, you’ll need to contact your local Qantas office to change your booking. Service fees may apply.

Note that any flight change applies to every passenger in your booking. If you want to change flights for individual passengers, you’ll first need to separate them from the booking. These passengers will be placed in a new booking with a separate booking reference. You can then make your changes using the above steps.

Which bookings can I change at

You can only change your travel date, time or transit cities at Contact your local Qantas office for all other changes, including destination, name, travel class, and changes for unaccompanied minors. Service fees may apply.

Changes to Classic Flight Reward bookings

You can change the date and time for Classic Flight Reward bookings up to 24 hours before you depart at Manage booking. Make sure the Frequent Flyer who paid for the original booking is logged in.

To change the departure or arrival city in your booking, contact Flight Reward and Priority Reservations.

Made a mistake while booking?

For bookings made at, we’ll give you until midnight on the same day you make your booking to let us know you made a mistake, and we’ll correct your flight details with no change fees. Read about same day no mistake.
