During summer the temperatures reach up to 19°C highs, with July bringing the longest days and the most rainfall of the year occurring in August. April boasts the lowest rainfall and during winter the temperatures at night drop to as low as 1°C and sports such as hillwalking, skiing and ice climbing are all accessible within a short trip out of the city.
