Freight Operations

Working with the Qantas Freight Operations teams means working with a forward-thinking team that specialises in getting things where they need to be. As Australia’s largest independent air freight services business, we move over 4,000 air freight shipments to more than 500 destinations globally every day. You’ll work with teams at our 22 specialist cargo handling terminals across Australia and in Los Angeles to solve logistical challenges and work together with customers to drive our business forwards.

We’re a diverse operation and definitely not the normal 9-5. Depending on your location, you’ll find coolrooms and freezers for perishables, warmrooms for shipments vulnerable to cold weather, strongrooms for secure storage and dry and wet ice for re-icing.

Every day presents new opportunities for the freight team. As well as our fleet of 14 dedicated, state-of-the-art aircraft, we provide belly space for customers on Qantas, Jetstar Australia, Jetstar New Zealand, and other carriers.

Within the Qantas Freight Operations portfolio, we also manage a number of specialist shipping businesses including Express Freighters Australia (EFA)Opens external site in a new windowJETS Transport ExpressOpens external site in a new window and Qantas CourierOpens external site in a new window in New Zealand.
