Earning Qantas Points

Book QF for more rewards

Did you know that Qantas codeshares on selected Japan Airlines flights? So when you fly to many of the destinations that Japan Airlines flies to, you can choose to book on a Qantas (QF) flight number+. Booking with a QF flight number allows you to maximise the amount of Qantas Points and Status Credits you'll earn on eligible flights.

Earning Status Credits

Japan Airlines is part of the oneworld alliance, which means you'll also earn Status Credits on eligible flights. Status Credits count towards your tier status and more rewards.

Using Qantas Points

You can use your Qantas Points on Japan Airlines for a:

> oneworld Classic Flight Reward - build your dream around-the-world escape with oneworld. Taxes, fees and carrier charges are payable in addition to the Qantas Points required for Classic Flight Rewards

> Points Plus Pay - Flight - use all points or a combination of points and cash

Note: Classic Flight Reward bookings are not available on Japan domestic flights in First class. Call Award flight reservations to make a Classic Flight Reward booking. An Award Assistance Fee applies for Award bookings made or completed worldwide via a consultant.

Qantas Points and Status Credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. # Points Plus Pay - Flights are available on any itinerary with a QF or JQ, 3K or GK flight number. A limited number of seats on selected partner airlines (as offered by Qantas at the time of booking on qantas.com) may be combined with your Qantas or Jetstar flights in a Points Plus Pay - Flight booking. Partner airline flights which may be combined with Jetstar flights in a Points Plus Pay - Flight booking are more limited than those which may be combined with Qantas flights. Jetstar partner airlines currently include Jetstar Asia (3K), Jetstar Pacific (BL) and Jetstar Japan (GK).
+ Selected flights operated by Qantas Frequent Flyer partner airlines also offer the option of a Qantas (QF) flight number. When booking a QF flight number, members earn Qantas Points and Status Credits at the Qantas rate. All flights operated by partner airlines offering a QF flight number are available on qantas.com.
