You can earn Qantas Points on all eligible flights* including our lowest fares, and you can maximise your points by choosing more flexible Economy fares or booking Premium Economy, Business or First. When flying beyond the Qantas network, we offer the option of a Qantas (QF) flight number on codeshare services operated by other airlines. When travelling on the Qantas (QF) flight number, you'll earn points and Status Credits exactly as you do when flying on a Qantas aircraft.
Earning with Jetstar± is another way to boost your Qantas Points
Just select a Starter Plus, Starter Max or Business Max fare bundle to earn Qantas Points when you fly. When travelling in New Zealand you can also earn Qantas Points on all eligible Jetstar New Zealand domestic fares. Jetstar New Zealand domestic Starter fares also now offer a Minimum Points Guarantee~ per segment (when the journey does not connect to a Jetstar international flight segment).
As a commitment to rewarding you, our Minimum Points Guarantee^ means you'll earn a minimum number of Qantas Points on every eligible Qantas, Jetstar, and American Airlines®^^ flight. See the tables below to find out what you could earn.
^^ Effective for travel on and from 1 September 2016, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will no longer earn a Minimum Points Guarantee when flying on American Airlines flights with an AA flight number.

Earn Status Credits when you fly
Status Credits help you move through our membership tiers from Bronze to Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One. The more you fly with us, the greater the privileges. The number of Status Credits you earn on eligible flights with Qantas and Jetstar is based on your fare and where you fly. For more information, use our earning points and Status Credits calculator.
As you move up the membership tiers you could earn 50%, 75% or 100% more Qantas Points with Qantas, Jetstar. Eligible flights on American Airlines® also offer a Status Bonus#. Find out more about the Status Bonus.
Because we value your loyalty, you will receive a choice of reward for your Loyalty Bonus+ of 8,000 Qantas Points or 50 Status Credits for every 500 Status Credits you earn on eligible Qantas and Jetstar flights* each membership year, up to a maximum of 32,000 Qantas Points or 200 Status Credits+. And that's on top of the extra points tier members earn from the Status Bonus.

* Qantas Points and Status Credits (where applicable) are earned on eligible flights with that airline's flight number on your ticket. Qantas Points and Status Credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. ~ The Minimum Points Guarantee may apply for eligible Jetstar New Zealand Domestic flight segments, depending on your tier status and any applicable Status Bonus that may apply. Refer to Minimum Points Guarantee details for the minimum number of Qantas Points that may be applied for each base rate for Jetstar Domestic New Zealand. If you are travelling on a domestic Jetstar flight within New Zealand that connects to an international Jetstar flight, then you will not earn Qantas Points or Status Credits unless you purchase an Economy Starter Plus, Economy Starter Max or Business Max fare with Jetstar.
^ The Minimum Points Guarantee applies per segment to eligible flights and fares on selected partner airlines and applies after any applicable bonuses for membership status and/or promotional offers have been added.
# The Status Bonus is applied to the actual Qantas Points earned when travelling in the Economy cabin. For travel in premium cabins, the Status Bonus is applied to the Flexible Economy earn rate.
+ For the purposes of the Loyalty Bonus, the Status Credits earned must be from eligible Qantas or Jetstar flights (JQ, 3K, GK and BL) within a single membership year. Loyalty Bonus can be earned up to four times each membership year, to a maximum Loyalty Bonus of 32,000 Qantas Points or 200 Status Credits. If selected, Loyalty Bonus Status Credits do not count towards attaining or retaining Platinum One status. The Loyalty Bonus reward must be selected within 90 days from the date a member achieves the Loyalty Bonus. Once selected the reward cannot be changed.
