Australian health authorities have advised only some passengers on the same flight are considered to have been in close contact with the confirmed case. They'll advise the public if a passenger on a flight is confirmed with coronavirus (COVID-19) at the time of travelling.

Each health authority will undertake the contact tracing process and make direct contact with passengers on that flight who were sitting within two rows in front and behind a confirmed case.

Visit your relevant state health department and the Australian Department of HealthOpens external site in a new window websites as your primary sources of information. Each site includes information on flights that have carried passengers who have since been diagnosed and also lists the specific rows which are considered close contact.
