New lounges

Champagne toast Qantas Club

Proposal of a brand new London First Lounge at Heathrow Airport is expected to open late 2025 to align with the launch of Project Sunrise direct flights between the United Kingdom and the east coast of Australia.

Plans for a relocation in 2024 into a new Hobart Qantas Club with a larger premise in line with the overall terminal redevelopment. 

Construction of a brand new, Boome Regional Lounge to open in 2024 that will double the capacity of the current lounge.

Plus new lounges in Adelaide (Domestic Business) and Port Hedland are coming in 2024.

Refurbishments

A proposed redevelopment of the existing Melbourne Business Lounge will feature an expanded footprint and a new signature food and beverage offering. The refresh will be carried out in stages from late 2023. 

A planned redesign and rebuild of the current Sydney International Business Lounge will increase capacity by 40 percent. The redesign will include a new food and beverage offering, which will begin early 2024. 

Refurbishments of the Auckland International Lounge and Adelaide Qantas Club are also planned for late 2023.

Hong Kong International Lounge

The Qantas Hong Kong International Lounge was closed for a number of years during the pandemic. The lounge underwent a refresh and reopened on 3 May 2023, along with the return of the popular Yum Cha trolley.

If you are a Qantas Platinum Frequent Flyer or Gold Frequent Flyer member (equivalent to the oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tiers), or you are travelling in a First or Business Class cabin on any oneworld member airline (excludes oneworld connect partners), you can access more than 650 airport lounges throughout the world.
