Domestic Connections in Sydney

When flying from Lord Howe Island to Sydney and connecting onto a Qantas domestic flight, you will need to make your way from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3. If any changes are needed to your connecting flights, we'll contact you to make sure you have enough time to connect comfortably.

Baggage allowances

Your carry-on baggage allowance is determined by the carrier operating your flight. 

Your checked baggage allowance for these flights is 14kg for your first piece and 9kg for your second piece of luggage, a total of 23kg across two bags. As these flights may have weight restrictions, your second piece of luggage may need to travel on a different aircraft.

Missed connections

Sometimes things don't go to plan, and we recognise the impact delays and missed connections can have. In the event this happens to you, below is some key information.

If you missed a connection due to the late arrival of your aircraft, the delivering carrier is responsible for ensuring you make your final destination.

Lost baggage

If your baggage doesn't arrive on the same flight as you, contact the Arrival Service desk of the delivering carrier in the arrivals hall.
