Throughout the two year program, all of our Graduates receive a well-balanced approach to continuous learning through these types of activities:
- Education (eg face-to-face training, eLearning, assessments)
- Experience (eg stretch assignments, job rotations, business improvement projects)
- Exposure (eg peer feedback, coaching, mentoring, networking and social media)
- Environment (eg tools and infrastructure, libraries, wikis and yammer, and business performance dashboards)

Which graduate are you?
Data Science and Analytics Graduate
Do you have a passion for data?
Our Data Science and Analytics Graduates have a STEM degree and a passion to see tangible business outcomes from the use of data and analytics. We're at the forefront of delivering better customer outcomes through data analytics, using it across all areas of the business, to personalise the services we provide to our customers and better meet their needs.
As a Data Science and Analytics Graduate, you'll be at the forefront of analytics utilising one of the richest datasets in Australia. You’ll have the opportunity to leverage this and partner with stakeholders across a range of projects, tasked with solving challenging problems through the development of technical solutions, predictive modelling and the visualisation of data to communicate insights.

Digital Graduate
Are you passionate about improving the customer experience?
Our Digital Graduates have a Design, Business or Technology Degree and are focused on providing innovative solutions that respond to the needs of our business and customers. Working in Digital at Qantas is unique. Not only do we manage the customer and technology requirements for a global organisation, but we’re working on projects across the business that will allow us to leap into the future.
Our Digital Graduates will think, create and build the digital products of the future. You could find yourself defining a new product vision, designing the latest features on Qantas.com and the Qantas App or improving the customer experience across our nation wide contact centres. Whatever the opportunity, you can be assured you’ll be part of an innovative culture that’s thoughtfully considered.

Engineering Graduate
Are you fascinated by aircraft and how they fly?
Our Engineering Graduates have degrees in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering and are passionate about keeping us at the forefront of aviation. Working with state of the art equipment and resources, our Graduates share in our commitment to excellence and keeping our customers safe.
As an Engineering Graduate, you could find yourself providing comprehensive Engineering support services across our international, domestic or regional fleet, be part of the team supporting the entry into service of new aircraft types or be involved in exciting projects with internal stakeholders such as tech crew, airports and many others. Each day will present a new challenge, but what’s certain is you’ll be surrounded by an incredible amount of experience that’ll support and teach you in so many ways.
Finance Graduate
Do you have an aptitude for numbers?
Our Finance Graduates have accounting or finance degrees and will kick start their careers in one of the country’s most interesting finance teams. You'll have the opportunity to work in our Centre of Finance Excellence, work as a Finance business partner within our Qantas Airlines corporate and operational teams and gain exposure to specialist teams such as treasury and tax.
Not only will you learn on the job in a unique and dynamic industry, we'll also provide funding for you to undertake your CA or CPA qualification.

General Graduate
Are you ready to apply your skills in a highly complex commercial environment?
Our General Graduates hold all types of degrees and bring diverse skills and knowledge to our business. As a General Graduate, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of business areas including Customer, Operations, Commercial and Strategy. As a General Graduate, you'll be based in our head office at Mascot with the potential for interstate or international rotations.
You could be involved in anything from designing our onboard amenity kits to planning new network routes. These experiences will give you the chance to broaden your knowledge and skills, while building a strong professional network that will help you to fast track your success as a future leader at Qantas.
You’ll bring new perspectives and challenge us to do things differently, helping us stay ahead of the game by creating a customer experience like no other.
Technology Graduate
Are you passionate about technology-driven innovation?
Our Technology Graduates are IT specialists with an IT degree or an IT major, ready to get their start as game changing technologists. Technology is at the core of Qantas, from our market-leading inflight Wi-Fi connectivity to faster, smarter check-in solutions.
As a Technology Graduate, you'll design and implement innovative solutions that will fuel our growth and have real customer value. You could find yourself designing our latest app features, building artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, or testing new technology deployed on our aircraft.
Together, we’ll explore what’s possible, reinventing the future by taking technology to a whole new level.
Your application journey
We're looking forward to welcoming new team members in the future. The Qantas Graduate Program has two intakes per year, one in August and one in February. Check our latest advertisements for the most up to date information on start dates and times.
Before you apply for the Qantas Graduate Program, there are a few things you'll need to check:
- Are you in your final year of study? Or have you completed an undergraduate degree or postgraduate study in the last two years?
- Do you have, or did you graduate with, a credit average or above?
- Can you work full time when the program starts?
- Will you be a permanent resident, or an Australian or New Zealand citizen when you apply?
- Are you willing to relocate to Sydney?
- Are you a Finance Graduate, a General Graduate, a Digital Graduate, a Technology Graduate or Data Science and Analytics Graduate?
We’re fortunate enough to receive thousands of applications for our Graduate program and assessing each application fairly takes some time, so we ask for your patience. You’ll hear from us at each stage of the selection process, helping you stay up-to-date on the progress of your application.
