June to August are Auckland’s winter months, with August  the best time for snow sports with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 18°C.

Auckland Airport (AKL). The airport is a major airline hub in New Zealand and there are many domestic and international destinations for visitors to continue on to.  The airport is located near Mangere,  21 km south of the Auckland city centre.

Getting into Auckland

Conveniently located between both Auckland city and Manukau city, there are a number of bus, shuttle, taxi and rideshare services which can pick you up from the terminal. Alternatively, you may wish to hire a car to explore the scenic destinations surrounding the city.  It’s best to allow plenty of time when travelling to and from the airport to cater for any delays and ensure you arrive at least three hours before your international flight or one hour before your domestic flight.

Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL). Also known as Santiago International Airport and Nuevo Pudahuel Airport, located in Pudahuel, 15 km north-west of downtown Santiago, Chile.
