Justin and Nick are a couple based just outside Washington, DC. They met through a love of travel and have been exploring the world together ever since. Justin and Nick began their trip discovering the sites of Sydney. After, they flew north to Hamilton Island, Queensland where they dove into the clear, blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Finally, they returned to Sydney to be dazzled by the vibrancy and fun of Sydney's Mardi Gras celebrations.

Our newest #QantasExplorer, Rich, considers himself a traveling adventurer, explorer, and magician. He'll begin his Australian adventure in Hobart, where he plans to photograph local wildlife, while hiking Cradle Mountain. From Tasmania, Rich will fly to Melbourne to explore the hustle and bustle and share his magic with the city, before once again going off the beaten track in Darwin.

How to book and save

Know what you want to do and where you'd like to go? Then book all your flights at the same time by choosing the multi-city option when making your Qantas international flight booking.

Or, once you've booked your eligible Economy or Premium Economy international flights with us to Australia, follow these simple steps to book your domestic flights to take advantage of great fares:

  1. Sign in to your international booking from the Manage Booking page with your booking reference or sign in to your Qantas Frequent Flyer bookings.
  2. If your booking is eligible, you'll see a promotional image giving you the option to book your domestic Australian flights.

  • Important information

    The Qantas Explorer must be purchased simultaneously with a trans-Pacific Qantas or American Airlines fare from Canada to Australia. Travel is in Economy on Qantas or partner airlines. No charge for date change; routing change is C$40 per transaction per person. An additional service fee of C$40/AU$80/NZ$80 per person applies for each change made via telephone, retail outlet, or an airport ticket counter, depending on the country where the change is made. The cancellation charge is based on the Qantas international ticket conditions, except that tickets purchased one week or more before departure may be cancelled without charge within 24 hours of ticketing. Child discounts do not apply. Discounts for infants (under 2 years) not occupying a seat are permitted at 10% of the applicable adult fare. No minimum stay; maximum stay 330–350 days from the date of reservation. Seats are limited and may not be available on every flight or day. Other restrictions apply. Airfare is an additional C$30 for reservations made by telephone. Hearing impaired persons may dial 711 (National Relay Service) to contact Qantas at 1 800 227 4500.
