Administration, support, services

Our administration function plays an important role in ensuring around 300,000 flights to 86 destinations around the world are completed successfully every year.

Across the Qantas Group, administration roles are key in maintaining our high levels of customer service and operational efficiency and are carried out by many different team members with a variety of skill sets.

To meet this diversity of operational requirements we offer opportunities for administration professionals in a wide range of roles and covering a very broad spectrum of skill sets. These include key leadership and managerial positions as well as executive secretaries, general administration, receptionist and switchboard staff across all our business areas. Working in Engineering, Freight, Airports, Catering or within our various corporate business units, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career in the area that best suits you. This applies geographically as well, with offices in all major metropolitan areas and a wide number of regional centres servicing our Qantas, Jetstar and QantasLink flights and operations.

The specific abilities and experience required will vary by role and by business area but you may be involved in anything from managing relationships, contracts and projects, liaising with internal and external business partners, managing and/or supporting human resource, finance or IT functions, sponsorship and event planning through to diary and office management. Given the diversity of the Group's operations, opportunities exist to create a career path where your specific areas of professional interest can best be developed.

Environment, Quality Assurance

We care about our environmental footprint, continuing to integrate responsible environmental practices into our operations. We look to manage our environmental impact and risk by making considered decisions in our planning and operational activities, minimising waste and improving our resource efficiency.

The Qantas Environment and Fuel Conservation Group is well regarded internationally and can offer you the opportunity to develop a successful career in this increasingly important area. You'll learn skills in commercially viable environmental initiatives and be supported by training.

Working closely with many of the business units in the Qantas Group, you'll develop wider skill sets that could open career opportunities in other areas such as Risk Management and Audit.

View our Environment section for more information on some of the projects Qantas is actively involved in.
