Earning Qantas Points and Status Credits

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn Qantas Points and Status Credits whenever you fly on the joint Qantas and American Airlines network. This means Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Points and Status credits when flying on eligible American Airlines flights between Australia and New Zealand to North America and beyond.

Our partnership with American Airlines means that as a Qantas Frequent Flyer you now earn more Qantas Points and Status Credits when you travel on eligible flights with an American Airlines (AA) flight number. This includes:

  • Flights between Australia, New Zealand and North America - Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn up to three and a half times more Qantas Points and up to four and a half times more Status Credits,* view Qantas Frequent Flyer Earn Categories
  • Flights within USA/Canada – Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn up to four and a half times more Status Credits,* view Qantas Frequent Flyer Earn Categories

Earn more with the Status Bonus

Silver members earn 50% more Qantas Points than Bronze members, Gold members earn 75% more points than Bronze, and Platinum and Platinum One members earn 100% more Qantas Points than Bronze on every eligible American Airlines flight.

Book a Qantas flight number for more rewards
