Terms and conditions
By entering the Sunrise Qantas Frequent Flyer Jackpot Competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. Standard terms
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
2. Who can enter?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of Australia, where the Channel Seven signal is received.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Seven Network (Operations) Ltd, Ansible Pty Ltd, Qantas Airways Limited and their associated agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
3. How to enter
3.1 The competition commences on Monday 7 May 2018 at 5.30am (AEST) and concludes on Thursday 1 November 2018 at 12pm (AEDT) ("the Competition Period") however, each eligible entry period will commence and conclude on the following dates and times:

3.2 In order to enter, viewers must watch Sunrise (Monday to Friday) ("the Program") on the Seven Network during the Competition Period. Each morning throughout the Competition Period there will be a competition segment aired during the Program (or any replacement program broadcast in the Sunrise timeslot) which will invite viewers to enter the competition.
3.3 In order to enter, viewers must:
a) send a text message/SMS with their Qantas Frequent Flyer Number, and first name, surname and suburb to 19 700 774 - (Charge $0.55 – Ansible Pty Ltd Helpline 1300 851 419); or
b) enter online at www.yahoo7.com.au/sunrise and complete the entry form including their Qantas Frequent Flyer number, first name, surname, mobile number and suburb.
3.4 If the entrant isn’t already a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, the entrant may join free of charge.
3.5 For viewers in all states, SMS entries will be charged at the premium rate of $0.55 (including GST). Ansible Pty Ltd Helpline 1300 851 419. Note that premium rate services are not available via every provider, it is recommended that viewers contact their individual service provider to confirm. Data charges may apply for online entries.
3.6 Only one (1) online entry per person per Qantas Frequent Flyer member is permitted per entry period as stated in clause 3.1. SMS entrants may enter as many times as they like. Only one (1) prize per person, will be awarded (with the exception of SA residents who are entitled to win more than one prize). The time of entry will in each case be the time the SMS message is received by the Ansible Pty Ltd database or online entry is received by the Yahoo!7 online database.
3.7 SMS entries deemed at the Promoter’s sole discretion to be made via the internet or computer generation are invalid and will not be accepted.
4.1 There will be one (1) prize winner per week; twenty six (26) prize winners in total throughout Competition Period. Each Winner will either receive:
- A minimum of 1,000,000 Qantas Points or the jackpot amount that is available on the day of announcement of the winning Qantas Frequent Flyer Number, if the Winner successfully accepts their prize online as stated in clause 5.5. The maximum notional value of each Major Prize of 1,000,000 Qantas Points is $30,372.67 based on the Qantas Frequent Flyer redemption of 60,000 Qantas Points for a one way Economy Classic Flight Reward from Sydney to London (Heathrow) plus AU$276.64 in applicable taxes, fees and carrier charges, accurate as at 16 March 2018. The dollar fare for an equivalent commercial flight totals AU$2,099 including taxes fees and carrier charges. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
- If the Winner does not accept their prize as set out in clause 5.5, the Qantas Points will jackpot to the next prize. For clarity, the jackpot amount will be in 1,000,000 Qantas Points increments.
Total prize pool up to: $789,689.42.
4.2 A member of the Sunrise team will contact the Winner within two (2) business days of successfully redeeming their prize online. The Qantas Points will be credited to the Winner’s Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership within twenty one (21) days of being confirmed as the Winner.
4.3 Qantas Points are governed by the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
4.4 In accepting the prize, the Winner agrees to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The Winner grants the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and they will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4.5 Winners should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prizes.
4.6 The Prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
4.7 The Winner agrees they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and or photographs to any media or other organisation.

5. How to win
5.1 There will be one (1) prize winner per week; twenty six (26) prize winners in total, who will be drawn from the national pool of daily entrants received. Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 by either entering online or with a mobile phone with a reply path whose SMS message has passed through the Telco carriers between the weekly competition dates and times as stated in clause 3.1 (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be entered into the relevant weekly draws following the close of entries for that draw. All draws will take place at Ansible Pty Ltd, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide SA 5000, as stipulated in the table below.

5.2 The winners drawn will need their entry details, including the mobile their SMS entry is sent from if they have used the SMS mode of entry, to match their Qantas Frequent Flyer Profile to be eligible to be announced as having the winning entry.
5.3 Each Friday from Friday 11 May 2018 to Friday 2 November 2018, Sunrise will announce the One (1) Winning Qantas Frequent Flyer Number live on the Sunrise program scheduled to be broadcast on the Seven Network between 5.30am (AEDT/AEST) and 9am (AEDT/AEST).
5.4 Sunrise will announce the winning entrant in the Program by reading out the first two (2) digits of the winners Qantas Frequent Flyer number together with their first name and suburb.
5.5 The Winner must visit www.yahoo7.com.au/sunrise by 2pm (AEST/AEDT) on the same day they are announced as winner, where they will be presented with an entry form requesting they complete their Qantas Frequent Flyer Number, first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number and suburb that match the details in their Qantas Frequent Flyer Profile at 2pm (AEST/AEDT) on the date of the draw to confirm their prize to be able to win the minimum of 1,000,000 Qantas Points, or the value of the jackpot points. If the Winner does not redeem their prize by 2pm (AEST/AEDT) on the same day they are announced as winner, by entering their personal details online and exactly matching those recorded on their Qantas Frequent Flyer Profile, any claim to the prize, being either the 1,000,000 or the jackpot value, will be forfeited and the prize will jackpot and be carried over to next entry period prize pool.

5.6 In the event that the final jackpot prize is not redeemed online on Friday 2 November 2018 at 14:00 AEDT, the prize will be included in a final draw from all non-winning entrants and will be held on Friday 2 November 2018 at 15:00 AEDT at Ansible Pty Ltd, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide SA 5000. Winner/s of the final jackpot draw will win up to (and no more than) 1,000,000 Qantas Points each and the number of winners will be dependent on the value of the remaining Jackpot. Winner/s of this draw will be published in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 12 November 2018.
5.7 The weekly Winner may be announced in Sunrise on each Monday following the announcement of the weekly winner on Friday. Winners who register online in accordance with Clause 5.5 of these Terms and Conditions will be notified by phone call within 2 days of the draw and a letter advising winners of their prize will also be mailed out. All winners will be published in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on the dates stipulated in the table below:

5.8 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
5.9 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the Winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
5.10 In the event that the prize is redeemed online but not subsequently claimed, an unclaimed prize draw from all non-winning entries will take place at Ansible Pty Ltd, Level 1, 16 Anster Street, Adelaide SA 5000 on the dates stipulated in the table below, subject to State government legislation. Winner/s will be notified by phone call within 2 days of the draw and a letter advising winner/s of their prize will also be mailed out, winner/s details will be published in the Public Notices section of The Australian newspaper on the dates stipulated in the table below.

6. No liability
6.1 The Seven Network (Operations) Ltd and affiliates, Ansible Pty Ltd, and their associated agencies and companies associated with this promotion, will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.2 The Seven Network (Operations) Ltd and affiliates, Ansible Pty Ltd, and their associated employees, agencies and companies associated with this promotion will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim, damages, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential) as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected) with this promotion and/or its prizes that may occur:
a) during the draw;
b) in the participation in any prize;
c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
e) in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;
f) arising from or related to any problem, delay or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network or internet based service, related to or resulting from participation in this promotion;
g) in relation to the non-availability of Premium Services by your telephone, mobile or internet service provider; or
h) due to circumstances outside the promoter’s reasonable control.
6.3 Subject to State Regulation, in the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
6.4 Seven Network (Operations) Ltd and affiliates, Ansible Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies associated with this promotion assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available, subject to State Regulation.
6.5 Subject to State Regulation, if for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
6.6 By entering the competition, and by collecting a prize, the winner acknowledges and accepts that driving, travel and any other activities comprising the prize, are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses. The Promoter is not responsible for any acts of god, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or civil commotion that may occur whilst the winner is travelling. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel.
7. Promoter and sponsor's details

7.3 By entering the competition, you agree to receive the 'Your points balance and news' and 'Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyer Members' Qantas Frequent Flyer emails. Qantas Frequent Flyer may use the data to update an entrants’ Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
