When to visit
The best time to visit Stockholm is in the summer, with warm days and plenty of daylight. Temperatures range between 20 to 25 °C, making it the perfect time to enjoy the parks, outdoor festivals and island tours. Autumn (September to October) is also a lovely time to visit and a popular time for hiking. Spring (April to May) is cool to mild around 10°C to 16°C, though is pleasant to enjoy the museums.

Getting into Stockholm from Stockholm Airport
Getting into Stockholm from the airport is easy with various transport options to suit your travel needs. Taxis are available outside Terminal 2 and 5 and are a comfortable way to travel. The travel time to Stockholm city centre is around 40 minutes. Uber operate from the airport and is a handy way to travel to your destination, just book your ride through the app. There are several shuttles and public buses available to the city centre, located outside terminal 4. The express bus runs every 10 minutes and stops at the central bus station, taking around 45 minutes. By train, The Arlanda Express runs nonstop between Stockholm airport and Stockholm in 18 minutes, making it the fastest mode of transport. It's possible to rent a car, with the car rental centre in the long-term car park. It's a convenient way to travel and explore more of Stockholm. Alternatively, you can book a hotel shuttle or private transfer.
Getting around Stockholm
The best way to get around Stockholm is by the excellent public transport system; several bus lines, metro, commuter trains, trams and ferries cover the big city very efficiently. The metro is the best way to get around with over 100 stations to see the sights. Buses cover all parts of the city and is an inexpensive way to travel. Biking is another popular option for getting around, as the city has many bike lanes and paths. It's a scenic way to explore the city and see the major attractions. Taxis in Stockholm are available, though expensive. You can hail one on the street or call ahead. Uber also operate in Stockholm, making it a handy way to get to your destination. Car hire is available, though with the clean and excellent transport system, you may not need to.
