The best time to visit New Plymouth is during the summer months from January to March to make the most of the outdoor activities. With plenty of sunshine, the temperature is around 19˚C during the day, perfect to visit Pukekura Park. As the city is on the North Island, winter temperatures drop to 3˚C to 9˚C.
