Getting into Chicago from Chicago Airport
There are many transport options to make your trip to Chicago from ORD easy and stress free. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue Line ‘L’ Train, which runs 24/7, connects directly to the city from O’Hare Airport. Taxi, Lyft, and Uber are available at the terminal. GO Airport Express provides shared ride services to Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Numerous car rental companies are available at the airports or alternatively book a limousine or chauffeur service for your stay in Chicago.
Getting around Chicago
From Chicago public trannsport to walking the city’s many neighbourhoods, there are plenty of ways to get around. Chicago’s streets are organised on a grid system. Madison Street divides the city north and south, while State Street divides it east and west, so it can be navigated on foot. Public transport options include the CTA that operates Chicago’s train and bus routes. Convenient CTA bus routes travel throughout the city, with stops every few blocks. The high-speed Metra commuter rail train connects outlying suburbs to downtown Chicago, and is a fast and easy way to travel to the heart of the city. Taxis and rideshare options are available to get you throughout the city. Water taxis offer fast, affordable connections to top tourist designations. Shuttles and limos services are a way to travel in style. Bicycles are available for hire and it’s easy to drive around town.
