The best time to visit Emerald for outdoor activities is during the autumn months between early March to late April. From mid-September to mid-December you can also enjoy a pleasantly warm spring with lots of sunshine.

What is the main airport called?

There are three terminals in Sydney Airport: Terminal 1 (T1) is the Sydney international terminal (Qantas flights QF1 – QF399, oneworld flights and Jetstar International flights), Terminal 2 (T2) is a domestic terminal where you will find Jetstar domestic flights and Terminal 3 (T3) is where you will find Qantas and QantasLink domestic services (QF400 and above).

Baggage allowance

Passengers on Qantas flights from Sydney to Emerald are allocated checked baggage. If you require extra luggage, you can purchase an additional baggage allowance online before departure. 

Checking in

Passengers travelling from Sydney to Emerald can check in online up to 24 hours in advance or check in at the terminal by visiting a kiosk or desk.

Emerald Airport. Emerald Airport is located 6km (4 miles) from the town centre on Springsure Road. Qantas flights QF400 and above operate from this terminal.
