What is the main airport called?

Armidale airport (ARM). It is the gateway to the New England high country and is located 8km (5 miles) from the town centre, on the New England Highway.

Arriving at Armidale Airport

When your QantasLink arrives on Armidale, you’ll be welcomed by the friendly staff at Armidale Airportto get your visit to the regional town off to the right start. Armidale airport is only 6km from Armidale’s city centre. Once you collect your bags from the baggage collection area, there are a number of different transport options available to get you on your way. 

Getting into Armidale town

Use the taxi service available at the terminal to make the short trip northeast along the New England Highway. Alternatively, rent a car from the hire services available at the airport and explore the region at your own pace. 

Getting around Armidale

Private buses operate throughout Armidale and taxi and hire car services are also available. There is a free Armidale Heritage tour that takes visitors to major historic and architectural landmarks, and Armidale has an extensive cycleway. Walking is a great way to see the city centre. Armidale Radio Taxis service the city and Edwards Coaches offer services around Armidale and the wider New England region.

What is the main airport called? 

Perth Airport. Located 15 km (9 miles) from the city centre, Perth Airport (PER) is the busiest and largest airport in Western Australia. All Qantas operated flights (international and domestic) operate from Terminal 3 and 4 (T3/T4) precinct. 

Baggage allowance

 Passengers on Qantas flights from Perth are allocated checked baggage If you need more luggage, you can purchase an additional baggage allowance online prior to departure.      

Checking in 

Ensure you check-in online or via the Qantas App before you arrive at the airport from 24 hours before departure.
