Nice enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine, mild winters and moderate rainfall. Spring (March to May) is a great time to visit to soak in the sunshine, without the crowds with temperatures ranging from 12°C to 17°C. It's possible to swim in the sea, though the water temperature is cool. Summer (June to August) is hot ranging around 25°C, and is a perfect time to swim in sea, enjoy the festivals and dine outdoors at one of the many bistros in the Cours Saleya flower market.

Getting into Nice from Nice Airport
With a wide range of transport options available at Nice Airport, travelling into the city centre is easy. Choose from train, bus, tram, taxi, car rental or Uber to travel the short distance to the city. The nearest railway station to Nice Airport is Nice Saint-Augustin, located a 10-15 minute walk from Terminal 1, to take a train to Nice Ville station. Nice city centre is less than 30 minutes from the airport by tram, with trams running every 8 minutes during the week. By bus, The No. 12 bus - Promenade des Arts stops at the Promenade des Anglais, the Place Masséna (Masséna square) and the Vielle Ville (old town) from the “Aéroport / Promenade” stop in front of Terminal. Taxi ranks are available at the terminal, taking you to where you need to go, or alternatively you may wish to request an Uber. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the city centre. If you wish to rent a car, to explore the Côte d’Azur and French Riviera on your own, car rental providers are available at the airport.
