Buses are an efficient way to travel from one district to another as buses have private lanes to beat the traffic. The metro is a good way to travel and get to the historic centre. It's best to buy a reloaded travel card to use on the bus and metro. Taxis are a good way to explore more of Lima's popular districts, though taxis are unregulated so it’s best to get your hotel to arrange one for you. If you do hail one on the street, make sure you agree on a price before you get in the car. You can walk around central Lima to soak in the sights and spend the day strolling Miraflores. There are plenty of plazas to relax at along the way.
