The best way is to take a taxi from the terminal building for the short ride to town. Songteaw city buses and tuk-tuk's are available or alternatively you may wish to rent a car. Getting around Chiang Mai
Getting around Chiang Mai is easy, as the city has many transport options. Songthaews (local buses) are the most convenient and cheap ways of travelling and can take you to the markets and attractions. Tuk-tuks are a fun way to travel a short distance and can easily be found thoughout town. Taxis are the most comfortable way to get around, though be sure to ask for the meter to be turned on or you can rent a motorbike or hire a bike to explore Chiang Mai.
