On Demand bus trial services run in Lake Macquarie through Dudley, Mount Hutton and Warners Bay. Electric bikes (eBikes) are also available to hire from 19 docking stations across Newcastle. Hamilton Island Airport. Located 1km from the town centre, Hamilton Island AirportOpens external site in a new window (HTI) is the main air hub for the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. Qantas flights QF400 and above operate from this terminal.
