Emerald Airport (EMD). It is located 6km (4 miles) from the town centre on Springsure Road.

The friendly staff at Emerald Airport will welcome you on arrival. Once you collect your luggage, there are several transport options available to get you into town.

Getting into Emerald from Emerald Airport

Emerald Airport is located 6km south of Emerald’s town centre. Taxis and car hire are located outside the terminal making getting into Emerald from the airport easy. Short and long-term parking are available at the airport, with a shuttle bus available to take passengers to the terminal.

Getting around Emerald

Emerald town centre is small enough to explore on foot, however taxis also service the centre. The Sapphire Gemfields and the Central highlands are best discovered by car, with car rental available.

Hervey Bay Airport (HVB) is the main airport for the city of Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia and the Fraser Coast region which incorporates the nearby city of Maryborough. The airport is located approximately 10 kilometres from the city centre.
